Spring Thing

Ladies,

Hillsdale Christian Fellowship invites you to attend The Spring Thing, their annual women’s retreat.

Theme verse: Romans 12:2, “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

This event is an opportunity to worship, fellowship, and learn from guest speaker Raelynn DeAngelis from Living in Truth Ministries. After the speaker, there will be snacks, games, and an optional sleepover party. (Bring a sleeping bag and pajamas!) Breakfast will be provided.

When: This Friday (March 19-March 20)

Where: Countryside. Meet in the Dow parking lot at 7:00 after the AIA Talent Show to get a ride. Let us know at registration if you are willing to drive.

Registration: March 15-17 during lunch and dinner hours. (The retreat is free, but HCF needs a headcount for food).

Hillsdale Christian Fellowship Update for 2010

Hello all,

Welcome to 2010. We hope you are refreshed for a new semester. May the Lord continue to equip you in all things for doing His will as you prepare to return to campus.

Before we get back up the Hill, we wanted to let you know about some Hillsdale Christian Fellowship updates:

The first HCF leadership meeting will be Tuesday, January 12, details forthcoming. All are welcome to attend.

Campus-wide Prayer will begin again on Wednesday, January 13 at 12:05 p.m. in the Fish Bowl next to the library.

Also, of note: at the first Unite (January 21), we will be having the first HCF bookswap. As believers, we always want to be in the business of encouraging one another and building each other up. While we all benefit from worshipping together both on campus and at our churches, we also learn from other believers outside of Hillsdale by reading, listening to pod-casts, following blogs, etc. While HCF cannot stock a bookstore, we can facilitate a book exchange. While you are still at home, find a Christian book that you have benefited from by are now willing to part with and bring it back with you to campus. Right before heading into Unite, drop off your books outside of Philips. During Unite we will arrange the books. Afterwards you will be able to pick up as many new books as you originally brought. Do note that HCF does not endorse any of the books that will be exchanged but we do hope you will bring and share solid resources with each other. So, head to your bookshelves and start collecting books to trade.

We cannot wait to see everyone back on campus.
Blessings,
The Vision Team: Zach Howard, David Guthrie, Jon Lewis, Betsy Peters, Lee Anne LaPlue, and Lauren Demianiuk

Call and Response

Come to Phillips this Saturday, November 21 at 8:00 p.m. to watch this "rockumentary" on the issue of Slavery in the world today. "Call and Response" takes an inside look at the many forms of slavery still unchecked in the 21st century. Come and learn with us. If you cannot come, continue to plead with the Lord that He would defend the cause of the weak and helpless. If you have any questions about the event or want to help in any way, email afrench@hillsdale.edu.

International Day of Prayer Sunday

Hey everyone!!

TODAY (Sunday November 8th) is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.

We will be meeting in the Chapel (above Phillips Auditorium) around 7:00 pm and will probably go until 8:00 pm. Feel free to bring any books, articles, pictures, magazines, or names of missionaries you know that might help us pray effectively for our brothers and sisters.

"so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." Romans 12:5

This is our family. Let's help support them.

WHEN?: Leave around 5pm on Nov 13th, return Sat afternoon

WHAT?: Kids (grade school and high school) from surrounding neighborhoods come to this church in Detroit and we have an overnight lock in with them.
